Puzzle piece solutions
Solved long ago
We think we've been forgotten
But that is just not so
We're still in the windings
Of a deft and silent hand
And when the final turns been made
We'll see the Master's plan
Oh, the change is coming
I can feel it in the air
The dead in Christ will know it
We are almost there
Let go
And hold on
"For we are His workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained
that we should walk in them."
(Ephesians 2:10)
Right before the Rubik's® Cube is solved, everything appears to be totally out of order and in hopeless disarray.......until the final turn, when everything falls perfectly into place.
I love that about this puzzle because it's a fitting illustration of us in the hands of Jesus.
He is always shaping us - He knows what we are to be and promises to get us there. How He does precisely that in spite of all our efforts to the contrary is the greatest of mysteries, and all we can do is hold on to what He's given us:
"Holding the mystery
of the faith
in a pure conscience."
(1 Timothy 3:9)
Some of us are slow turners, but He knows exactly how to get us into the right position - the one He has waiting for us.
We don't see it very often (maybe ever), and that's a good thing, because we'd get in the way if we did - either trying to run away or taking off ahead. Where He wants us, though, is right where we are, shining as brightly as we can. He'll let us know when it's time to move on, and get us there when the time is right - of that we can be sure:
"Wherefore
seeing we also
are compassed about
with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight,
and the sin
which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run
with patience
the race
that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus
the author
and finisher
of our faith;
Who for the joy
that was set before Him
endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and is set down
at the right hand
of the throne of God.
For consider Him
that endured such contradiction
of sinners against Himself,
lest ye be wearied
and faint in your minds."
(Hebrews 12:1-3)
All we have to do is trust Him where we are, with what He's given us to do today.
"Take therefore
no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day
is the evil thereof."
- Jesus (Matthew 6:34)
Keep going with Him.
