All Short

A King came calling
A wrap upon the door
One knock
Two knocks
And then once more

Too cold to journey farther
Too hungry to sit and wait
The eve was drawing darker
The hour was growing late

A King came calling
A whisper in the wind
Help a lonely stranger
Oh please just let me in

Hanging like a cloud
Amidst the frigid air
The words drifted forward
And then they were not there

A King came calling
He died that very night
None came to offer shelter
None came to be a light

Slumped against the doorway
Head down and hanging low
Not a soul was watching
When his time had come to go

Home to a Saviour
That had not forsaken him
The King Who came calling
The One Who let him in

God is the caller, and He's the saver too.

What is He calling you to do today?

Often times He has to take us to the lowest and loneliest of places to give us what we need most - His unending love.

We all need help. And we are all called to help.

Don't say no to Him.

We are His hands and feet - we are His body on this earth. We are His church.

"As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous therefore,
and repent.

Behold, I stand at the door,
and knock:
if any man hear My voice,
and open the door,
I will come in to him,
and will sup with him,
and he with Me.

To him that overcometh
will I grant
to sit with Me
in My throne,
even as I also overcame,
and am set down
with My Father
in His throne.

He that hath an ear,
let him hear
what the Spirit saith
unto the churches."
