PAID IN FULL.
This phrase has appeared a number of times in my journal of late - certainly a message that we all need to hear and remind ourselves of. Jesus paid it all - He did the work that we could never do, He paid our sin debt.......IN FULL.
As the prophet Isaiah said:
".......He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to His own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
(Isaiah 53:5-6)
thank You LORD!
PAID IN FULL.
For as long as I can remember, I have written this phrase on my bill stubs as I pay them each cycle and never given a thought to the deeper meaning in those words.......something how the Lord can speak to us so clearly, yet we can't hear Him.
All of these years I have written that phrase, over and over again.......and I'm sure I'll be writing that phrase over and over again for many more. But while I still need to pay my way in this world, my eternal salvation is secure - that check has been written, that payment has been made in full, and that debt is gone forever.
As Jesus said in that final moment before He died upon the cross:
".......It is finished......."
(John 19:30)
thank You LORD!
PAID IN FULL.
Let's remember what we should all be most thankful for.......and LET US SAY SO!
"O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;"
(Psalm 107:1-2)
Be thankful
for a Father who loves us,
who gave His Son to die for us,
and His Holy Spirit to live in us!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved."
(John 3:16-17)
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
(Romans 8:1-2)
thank You LORD!
